The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed regarding the higher quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance point developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to website attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to allow the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” here the agency said.
